Broadcast Operations Engineer

DTN is seeking an IT professional to monitor, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems used for our Internet delivered products. In this position you will be supporting, documenting, maintaining, or upgrading Intel based Windows and Linux computer systems. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures used in the operation and troubleshooting of associated systems required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• System-wide monitoring of real-time data broadcast systems.
• Timely response to automated monitoring systems to maximize system up-time.
• Identify problems, troubleshoot and provide solutions for the organization’s Web-based applications.
• Assist with computer system administration, maintenance and hardware and software upgrades.
• Create timely and accurate event notification and logging as directed by manager.
• Coordinate with other IT areas to resolve problems when necessary.
• Conduct computer system hardware and software testing.
• Conduct other assignments which assist in carrying out the mission of the IT department.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems required.
• Three years support experience with Internet-facing web-based information systems required
• Three years experience working in Linux, Windows NT, 2000 and XP required.
• Proven success with troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to communicate with customers and IT personnel to ensure the implementation of accurate rules and requirements.
