Refiner Sales Rep
DTN is seeking a motivated sales professional to work on our team reporting directly to the VP Sales of Refined Fuels. The position will focus on growing our existing core product lines within the energy community as well selling new products and services targeted at communications, data management, customer integrations, and risk and supply management. The chosen candidate will be focusing on process and strategic improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive revenue through long-term, high-dollar contracts
• Sell new, high-end, and complex products and multi-platform packages
• Establish multiple contacts at various levels within organizations
• Develop account plans that help existing and new customers identify weaknesses within their organization that can be addressed and alleviated through capabilities of DTN products and services using a consultative selling approach focusing on process and strategic improvement
• Clearly identify and establish goals, present strategic initiatives and details of DTN capabilities and unrelentingly drive to desired outcomes
• Provide feedback to the rest of the organization on how to better satisfy client needs
• Develop new markets as needed
• Participate in appropriate industry venues
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years proven and consistent sales experience using a consultative approach to introduce, create a need and a vision of a solution in the mind of the customer that includes intangible and high-value information services
• Demonstrated ability to identify, communicate and understand business issues with executive level management; flexibility to sell to all levels of management
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, follow up, presentation, and account management skills
• 5+ years experience with energy markets (pricing, forwards, risk and supply) along with an understanding of how energy companies use information
• Self motivated; excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
